Hello All,
Well, here we are again safe and sound in TVER. The Osnabruck moved us upstairs to the second floor, even though our room # is 125. HMMM. Bonus, we have a balcony that over looks the street. We will try and take a picture of this and post it tomorrow.
So, tomorrow we are going to spend the afternoon with Alex. We are waiting on a 6:00pm call from our new translator, Olga. She is going to give us the details for tomorrow.
The flight was fine, minus some turbulence. Some of you may or may not know that on our return flight we hit a huge air pocket. This, of course, plunged the plane down and rocked it so hard that the overhead bins opened up. Cathy thought we were going to plunge to our deaths in Greenland. The funny thing though, I was more paranoid then Cathy this trip.
We were greeted by a different translator, as mentioned before, Olga. She was waiting with another couple from Wilkes-Barre, PA. They are adopting a twelve year old boy named Dimitry. This is their first trip and they seemed real excited. They have a 22 year old girl and grandson, alongwith a 19 year old son. I am sure we will see them around.
We have dinner plans tonight with the Garretts, Angela and Kevin. Angela and I have been emailing for a few weeks now. They arrived two days before us and are also on their first trip. They are adopting an 18 month old boy named Elijah, he is very cute.
For our parents, we plan on getting a calling card from the post office tomorrow. Most likely though, we will give you a quick call today.
Look for more pics and a detailed report on how Alex is. See you tomorrow!
